Stop doing more. Start deciding better.
Better decisions. Sustained momentum. Compounding performance.
O U R A P P R O A C H
ThreeBetter works with C-suite leaders and Boards at the moments where the margin for error is small — transitions, performance pressure, and the hard work of turning strategy into results.
Most organizations don’t have a strategy problem. They have a 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 and 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 problem. Too many priorities. Too much friction. Too little alignment between where you’re going and how you’re built to get there.
ThreeBetter cuts through that complexity with the Power of Three:
(1) Strategy | Partners with C-Suite teams and Boards to identify and protect the “critical few” priorities that drive results. Stop Doing More. Start Deciding Better.
(2) Leadership | Assesses and develops leaders with focus on the capacity, capability, commitment, and coalition needed to move the organization forward. Execution is a leadership problem before it is a strategy problem.
(3) Systems | Designs simple operating systems that make the right behaviors easier, reducing friction and sustaining performance over time. Sustainable performance is designed, not demanded.
What makes this different is both what gets done and how. ThreeBetter works collaboratively, designing with people rather than prescribing to them, and brings the rare combination of strategic vision and operating discipline to see it through. You work with someone who’s been in the room — doing the work, accountable for the results.
Experience built inside the complexity you’re navigating.

ThreeBetter’s methodology was built inside the complexity you’re navigating — nearly twelve years at Providence, one of the country’s largest ($32B) integrated health systems, and before that, Epic Systems through hypergrowth. Not advising from the outside. Doing the work and accountable for the results.

All of them consequential.
Leadership Transitions
New leaders rarely fail because they lack vision. They fail because the gap between mandate and execution closes too slowly, threatening organizational stability before credibility is established.
ThreeBetter partners with incoming CEOs and CPOs to design the operating architecture, stakeholder alignment, and governance cadence that turns early credibility into lasting performance. The work begins before Day 1 and stays active through the first year — when the decisions that define a tenure are made, often before the full picture is clear.
The Board called the last CEO transition we led “textbook” — and became the repeatable governance standard going forward.
AI That Actually Moves the Needle
Most organizations are deploying AI. Few are getting enterprise-level results. The gap isn't the technology — it's that AI is being layered onto workflows that were never designed for it, disconnected from the business strategy it's supposed to advance.
ThreeBetter helps leaders deploy AI the way it actually compounds performance: redesigning workflows before technology is deployed, connecting AI investment to workforce strategy and enterprise economics, and building the governance discipline that makes adoption stick. AI as an enabler of strategy — not a strategy of its own.
A 50% reduction in manager review cycle time — not from AI alone, but from redesigning the workflow first. AI accelerates activity. Human judgment compounds performance.
Strategy, Culture, & Execution as One
The most common performance failure isn't a bad strategy — it's a strategy built without the operating model, leadership behaviors, and cultural infrastructure to carry it. When strategy and culture are designed separately, one of them wins. It's rarely the strategy.
ThreeBetter takes an integrated approach: building strategy and people priorities in genuine partnership so the what, the why, and the how are designed together. When a constraint is diagnosed, the work identifies whether the real problem is strategic clarity, leadership, or the systems making the right behaviors harder than the less desirable ones.
A $3B transformation delivered $550M in Year 1. A people strategy and culture rollout built alongside — not after — the business strategy, across 120,000 caregivers.
ThreeBetter takes a limited number of engagements at any time. Every relationship is direct, active, and built around your specific situation.
A NATURAL ENTRY POINT
Many engagements begin with a 30-day diagnostic sprint — a structured assessment that identifies where friction is distorting performance and produces a clear 90-day roadmap.

Founder | C-suite & Board Advisor
I started ThreeBetter for leaders who need someone who's been in the room and lived with the consequences of their decisions. The name reflects a simple conviction: when Focus, Leadership, and Systems align, the results follow — and last.
Known for translating complex strategy into execution at scale, I most recently served as Group Vice President at Providence (~$32B; 120,000 caregivers), leading enterprise transformation, workforce strategy, and a CEO succession the Board called "textbook." Before that, Epic Systems through hypergrowth: revenue tripling, complex clinical systems, and a front-row seat to what technology actually delivers versus what it promises.
Outside of work, you’ll find me on the sidelines cheering for my kids, volunteering in the community, and enjoying life in Seattle with my family.
